The Great Outdoors Photographic Competition 2010 Mon 5th Jul  21:14
2010 Photo Competition launched In each category, a school can enter a maximum of three photographs (i.e three off-site and three school-based photographs). Images must be submitted in jpg format with a maximum file size of 4mb. Following the success of last year’s inaugural competition, AHOEC and NAHT have once again joined forces to promote learning outside of the classroom by running the Great Outdoors Photographic 2010 Competition.
We all know that children and young people benefit from ‘hands on’ experiences. By seeing, hearing, touching and exploring the world around them and experiencing challenge and adventure, they find out how what they learn at school relates to their life outside it. The classroom environment doesn’t always provide young people with enough of these opportunities and whilst great learning already happens outside the classroom, many pupils still don’t get out and about enough.
