The Great Outdoors - photography competitionThe NAHT and the Association of Heads of Outdoor Education Centres (AHOEC) have joined forces to give young people the chance to win one of two fantastic new cameras. The Great Outdoors - photography competitionMonday 13 July 2009ICT and interactive whiteboards are all very well, but sometimes the best way to learn things is by leaving the classroom and entering the real world, whether that involves caving, white-waterrafting or clambering through giantspider-webs of rope. And, while you’re there, why not get the pupils to take a couple of photographs to prove that they did it? That’s the challenge being set by our new competition. In a bid to
promote learning outside the classroom, the NAHT and the
Association of Heads of Outdoor Education Centres (AHOEC)
have joined forces to give young people the chance to win one
of two fantastic new cameras. We want students involved in
any of the many exciting activities available this summer to
photograph themselves and their friends (with parental
permission, of course) in action. As well as prizes
for the winning entries, Leadership Focus will publish a
selection of some of the most interesting shots sent in by
the competition deadline of 30 September 2009. Please note
that NAHT and AHOEC reserve the right to make use of the
photos in future articles and that rights to all submitted
photos remain with NAHT and AHOEC. Schools will also need to
arrange clearance with parents prior to entry. Please send your
entries (by email only) to johnr@naht.org.uk by 30 September
2009. Winners will be notified by direct contact and winning
photos could be published in a future issue of Leadership
Focus.
You will need to include the following details with your
entry: school name, school address, school contact name,
school telephone number, local authority or employer, name of
pupil photographer, age of pupil photographer and
verification of photographer by headteacher. The AHOEC is
affiliated to the NAHT and represents the highest quality
Outdoor Education Centres. The competition is sponsored by:
