Press Notice No: 095/05 Wednesday, April 6, 2005 The Maritime & Coastguard Agency Canoeists rescued in Poole Harbour TEN PEOPLE PULLED FROM WATER IN POOLE HARBOUR
At 11.00 o’ clock this morning Portland Coastguard were
alerted to an incident in Poole Harbour when the `Furzey
Squirrel’, a BP supply vessel, came across 10 people in the
water after they had been spilled from two Canadian kayaks and a
small rescue boat which had all upturned.
